Hi everybody,
firstly a big "THANK YOU!" to all who attended our St.George's night last Saturday, especially our superlative caterers - the Swift family - and all their helpers. A wonderful crowd of 72 guests have put over £1,200 into the Passion Play funds as a result of their generosity. Special thanks too to Mr. John Mylod who sponsored the Olde Englishe Mead! A wonderful evening was spent in carousing and dancing and fellowship. It is planned to have a similar event next year! "Voices for Easter" was also a well-enjoyed occasion, though slightly less well-attended than in previous years. We are thinking of giving it a "rest" next year and would welcome your feedback on that idea. Our committee continues to work hard in our behalf and fundraising is well on target for 2020. This is not to say that we can afford to take our eye off the ball and I urge you all to continue to support our fundraising efforts wherever you can. In this regard, a new range of merchandise will shortly be released, and advertised on the website, ranging from inexpensive items, such as pens and mugs, to our usual range of polo shirts and hoodies; all emblazoned with our logo and thus helping to build the publicity for our next performances. We have decided to postpone our proposed summer event until next year due to time constraints and logistical problems but there will be further fiundraisers announced for the Autumn so keep an eye out for publicity please. Hi Everybody,
A brief update to remind you of what's happening in the next few weeks:
Kevin x Following our latest committee meeting last Thursday evening I have a number of items of news to share with you:
Welcome to the new website.
I'll be posting on here regularly from now on to let you know everything thats going on as we accelerate towards the next production in 2020. Later this month Dave Southernwood and myself will be going to Leicester where we have been invited to speak at the national Passion Play conference and will share some insights into the vision behind our production and the way we go about putting it on. Meanwhile in the run up to our latest fundraiser I am very happy to say that we are SOLD OUT for "burns Night" once again. However if you have been unlucky in your attempt to purchase tickets this year or are unable to attend for any other reason, you can still contribute to the success of the occasion by offering to sponsor one of our "Chieftain" haggisses, or the "wee dram" to accompany the toast, or our live Scottish Piper. The defraying of any of these expenses very much boosts the profit for the evening and thereby supports the budget needed to maintain the high production standards of our show. If you would like to contribute in this fashion please contact me via the website or the Passion Play e-mail. I wish you all a very happy and prosperous new year, God bless, Kevin.x A lot has been happening with the HPP over the last 18 months:
